Digital cell

Tomas Bily

Abstract

Digitalization of biological cells of digital patients and digital organisms is main paradigm of theoretical biology and medicine. It is crucial instrument in predicting biological systems from nano to antro scales. We would like to present basic overview of this problematic from Alan Turing's analytic model of morphogenesis to discrete models using stochastic cellular automata and, especialy, our codel model. Main emphasis will be targeted on parametrisation of models. On second session we would like to present some examples of parametrisation of codel model as "image" of some special cell types (for example immune cells, neurons ...) and processes. This examples will be shown as computer simulation using our virtual laboratories.
