DiGeo: Fundamental questions of discrete geometry
Open positions
- Starting date: First half of 2026 (negotiable)
- Duration: One year with a possibility of extension until the end of 2027.
- Salary: 56 000-65 000 CZK/month + health insurance covered.

- Visibility
- Graph drawing
- Crossing numbers of graphs
- Semialgebraic hypergraphs

- Proofs of education and awarding of academic titles
- A list of citations (preferably by WoS); an additional list of citations not included in WoS may be added, but is not mandatory
1-2 postdoc positions in discrete geometry and related areas are available within the project "DiGeo: Fundamental Questions in Discrete Geometry" funded by the Science Foundation of the Czech Republic. Each of the positions also comes with travel funding.

Research Areas
The project focuses on problems in discrete geometry and related fields, including:
Team members include Martin Balko, Vít Jelínek, Jan Kratochvíl, Jan Kynčl, Maria Saumell, Pavel Valtr, and a group of PhD students.
Qualification Requirements
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree obtained before the starting date and no more than 6 years ago.
