Dear all,
1) there is no seminar this week
2) there will be seminar in the first week of January (Jan 5), stay tuned
for the program
3) if you want to attend the seminar in the next semester and you will have
some teaching duties, it is still time to set your scheduling preferences.
On https://is.cuni.cz/studium/index.php go to
Schedule NG -> Schedule Requests. Make sure you select the right semester
(SS 22/23). You can add schedule requests that the people preparing the
schedule will try to honor when deciding about your classes/tutorials.
Merry Christmas,

Dear Participants of the graduate students' reading seminar,
Our vanocni besidka (Christmas party) will take place in the traditional-type
Czech pub Restaurace u Veverky (near Hradcanska metro station)
https://www.uveverky.com/kontakt/
on Thursday Dec 15th from 7:15pm.
R.S.V.P. by an email to Pavel (valtr@kam...) till this Friday.
We have no funds for paying the dinner, so everybody pays for herself/himself.
Looking forward to see you there,
Robert and Pavel
Hi all,
Just a reminder: this Thursday we will have next edition of "doktorandsky
seminar". As announced on https://kam.mff.cuni.cz/~dsemweb/, our speaker
will be
Jan Soukup
and he will talk about paper
Twinwidth of planar graphs is at most 8
by Petr Hliněný and Jan Jedelský.
This will be a treat to both the mathematicians among us (nice proof about
planar graphs) and as well to the computer scientists (twin width is a
recently defined parameter that seems to become a central part of theory).
Regular place&time:
Time: Thursday 9:50-12:10
Place: S8
See you there,
R
