Dear colleagues,
doctoral seminar will be cancelled this Thursday, because no speaker has volunteered to give a talk. Also, there is no speaker for the next week, so I urge you to consider if you can give your talk next week instead of your chosen date.
The other alternative is that Peter Zeman (who still has not chosen his date talk) will give a talk next week.
If none of this happens, doctoral seminar will be probably cancelled next week as well.
With best regards, Honza
Hi everyone,
indeed, there is no speaker for the coming Thursday. (Peter Z. is apparently not enrolled.) However, I suggest we meet anyway and discuss the future of the seminar. After the last seminar several people had interesting suggestions, and it would be a pity not to use this chance for a possible change.
Questions to think about: Should we keep each week's seminar independent of the others OR create a series on a topic? Should seminar cover classical topics that by some mistake are not part of curriculum at Matfyz? How much variety (of topics) is good? etc, etc.
We start 10am sharp.
Cheers,
Robert
