Dear friends of doctoral seminar,
welcome back after the exam period. :-)
1) Next week we will have a unique opportunity to hear a talk by Radek Hušek about flag algebras M. K. de Carli Silva, F. M. de Oliveira Filho, C. M. Sato Flag Algebras: A First Glance
2) We search for volunteers to speak in the first few weeks of the semester. If you agree to speak on Feb 28, you have absolute priority in the choice of paper! :-) We will schedule all talks in the first seminar (Feb 21), so be sure to come -- or let me know of you time constraints.
3) This time we will try a distributed paper selection -- papers are available at the webpage of the seminar ( https://kam.mff.cuni.cz/dokt_seminar/nabidka.html), browse through them at your convenience. Ideally, make your choice till Feb 21, we will try to resolve conflicts at the first seminar. After that, some of the remaining papers will be offered for the spring school.
4) The previous does not apply for people willing to speak on Feb 28, those can reserve their paper right away. Probably for Mar 7 as well :-)
See you next week,
Robert

Just a reminder: on today's seminar we will hear Radek Hušek speaking about flag algebras -- a mysterious way to solve many extremal combinatorial questions. See you there,
