Note that cgoban-h is currently based on an older version of upstream cgoban: - You will see a warning window on each login - Newest java6 releases are not supported - tags are not supported - Game tags, buddy tags are not supported - Some icons (android, meijin) are not displayed Also, for technical reasons difficult to work around, in cgoban-h you cannot click on web links written in chat - you need to cut'n'paste to the browser. Rooms and chat: - Show timestamps in chat windows - Less irritating PM alert sound (borrowed from kgsmod) There are three alternative sounds available now: orig, dingdong and meow. Dingdong is the default. Change it in client preferences. - Messages by you are shown in blue - Messages starting with your nickname (or one of highlight strings, set them in your preferences) are highlighted - Messages containing your nickname (or one of highlight keywords, set them in your preferences) have it highlighted and the room tab is colored in yellow until you visit it - You can enable room/private chats logging in CGoban preferences By default turned off. You need to log out and back in in order for the setting to take effect. - Users playing a game are shown in red in the user list - Alt-0..9,a..z switches between tabs; Ctrl-Tab, Ctrl-Shift-Tab cycles tabs - The tab bar can be moved from the top to different screen side (e.g., left) Useful for wide-screen displays. Switch tab bar position using Ctrl-1..4. You can also change it in CGoban preferences, but you need to log out and back in then. - Vertical split instead of horizontal split supported Useful for wide-screen displays. We are talking about that weird double-square button next to the tab close button. Switch the split mode using Ctrl-F1,F2. You can also change it in CGoban preferences, but you need to log out and back in then. Game lists: - ?-rank games are sorted inbetween solid-rank games - Background in game lists color-codes game types - Per-user game list marks user's wins by red dot (antialiased) - Your username in per-user game list is shown in blue - Escaped game in per-user game list is shown in red in addition to italics - Challenges have time settings shown in the list - Auto-observing mode In this mode (Top menu -> "Automation" -> "Auto-observe"), CGoban will automatically keep observing games (until a game finishes, then choosing as next the best game that matches at least given criteria - by default 4d player and no more than 20 moves already played). [FIXME: Only new games are auto-joined for now when old ones are left, not already running ones.] Player lists: - ?-rank players are sorted inbetween solid-rank players - Shift-click on player name brings player info Actual games: - Loud Byoyomi counting - CGoban talks like an ING clock now ;-) By default turned on only for your games. You can turn it on for all games or off altogether in CGoban preferences. Multiple clock voices are supported. - Right-click works the same as shift-click on goban This means that in editing mode you can use right-click to place white stones, in text label mode right-click to place custom label, etc. - One-color go This is not server-enforced. You or your opponent activate the mode by typing ONECOLOR message, just that. You can deactivate it by typing MULTICOLOR at any time. Switch to another window and back to trigger Goban redraw. - Blind go Works the same as one-color go. Activate by typing BLINDGO, deactivate by typing VISIBLE. - Mouse wheel on goban browses the game history (goes back/forth) - A message is shown if one of players leaves a game Kibitz: - Hovering over coordinate in kibitz highlights it on goban - Comments by game owners / players in game are shown in green - Comments by dan players (4d+) are shown in red - Comments by you are shown in blue - Comments starting with your nickname (or one of highlight strings, set them in your preferences) are highlighted Random stuff: - Customized splashscreen :P - Optional greeen, geekgs, night blues color themes - Optionally turn off inactivity warnings
